Sh. R.S.T. Sai, CMD, THDC India Limited (THDCIL) launched Corporation’s Coffee Table Book entitled “A Journey towards Excellence”. The publication depicts various valuable memories, moments & milestones, the Company has witnessed in more than two & half decades from its inception in July, 1988.
This prestigious publication was launched on the occasion of Republic Day Celebration at THDCIL Corporate Office, Rishikesh. On this occasion Sh. D.V. Singh, Director(Technical), Sh. S.K. Biswas, Director(Personnel), Sh. Sridhar Patra, Director(Finance) and Sh. S.K. Agrawal, GM(P&A/CC) and various other senior officers along with huge gathering of THDCIL employees and their family members were present on this occasion.
This Coffee Table Book is a creative attempt to present the pictorial view of how 4th highest earth & rockfill dam in the world viz. Tehri Dam became a reality and how THDCIL emerged as a major global player in Power Sector from a single project organization as well as its diversification in other energy areas such as Solar, Wind, Thermal. The views of Ex-CMD’s, Director’s, GM’s, and other senior Executives associated with Tehri Project along with views of present CMD, Director’s, GM’s are printed in the book. Besides this the views of Russian Experts, important Contractors, GoI & GoUK officials, Rehabilitees are also given space in the book.
Earlier in the day Sh. R.S.T. Sai, hoisted the national flag and inspected the parade at Rishikesh on the occasion of Republic Day. The celebration was followed by cultural programmes, sport events, conducted by TES School, Rishikesh and the employees of THDCIL who won various competitions organized during Republic Day celebration and prior to this were also felicitated.
